Ideas to open up a thrift boutique to benefit a children’s ministry in Radcliff now are delayed just after a construction fire at its new retail spot.
Hearth crews were named out all-around 11 a.m. Sunday to a professional setting up in the 1700 block of South Dixie Avenue, Radcliff Fireplace Chief Jamie Henderson mentioned.
“When we very first acquired listed here there was hefty black smoke coming from the constructing,” he explained. “The crews went in at the beginning and knocked it down pretty fantastic but hefty smoke was continue to coming out the other side.”
Which is when departments from Vine Grove and Fort Knox had been introduced in for help. About 30 firefighters responded in all, Henderson claimed.

The boutique was scheduled to open up in April and goods already was in the constructing, Nance-Pittman said.

The boutique’s previous locale was on Shelby Avenue in Radcliff and the ministry had just moved items and fixtures into its new spot Nance-Pittman explained.

Nance-Pittman claimed she obtained a contact all-around 11:15 a.m. notifying her of the hearth.

“It helps make us know that we are valued and crucial in this group,” she additional.
Relocating forward, the hearth is just a setback in Nance-Pittman’s plans to serve the group and the small children that take part in the ministry, she explained.
“We’re going to progress as common,” she said. “We’re believing that God has not only a program, but he has designed the provisions for this. … It hurts, sure, but I still believe in God.”
About noon, Henderson mentioned the fireplace was less than manage and Henderson was ready for clearance to enter to making to decide the fire’s result in.
